The GENUP is a four (4) hour course which must be completed by all PBs and non-provisional brokers who do not have BIC-Eligible status and who wish to renew their licenses on active status on July 1, 2025, for the 2025-2026 license year. 

Licensees whose license status is set to BIC-Eligible or who have been named a BIC should not seek admission to GENUP courses.

Note that a licensee with BIC-Eligible status who takes either GENUP course, rather than a BICUP course, shall receive CE credit for taking such course only for the purpose of retaining their license on active status, but shall not have satisfied the requirement to take the BICUP Course in order to retain BIC Eligible status.
